Leading Ghanaian luxury real estate developer Devtraco Plus has formally launched its Nigerian market initiative, urging high-net-worth Nigerian investors to look beyond domestic borders and capitalise on Ghana's real estate and tourism landscape.
At a press briefing in Lagos themed 'Building Wealth Beyond Borders', executives from the real estate firm outlined why Accra is increasingly viewed as West Africa's premier hub for cross-border capital, lifestyle investment and portfolio preservation.
Sandra Mudzimba, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for the Devtraco Group, emphasised the importance of geographic and currency diversification for sophisticated investors, noting that cross-border investment provides an opportunity to spread risk and preserve value. She highlighted Accra's proximity, under an hour's flight from Lagos, and Ghana's political stability, legal frameworks and role as host of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) secretariat.
Dapo Macaulay, Country Manager for Devtraco Plus Nigeria, said the company's expansion into Nigeria is built around establishing a structured, transparent gateway for cross-border investments. Ewurabena Braye, Head of Sales at Devtraco Plus, stressed that safety and proven execution are paramount, pointing to the company's over three decades of development experience and roughly 1,800 delivered homes.
The executives highlighted key drivers positioning Accra as an attractive destination for African investors, including sustained demand for premium residential properties in prime areas such as Cantonments and Roman Ridge, access to dollar-denominated rental yields as a hedge against domestic inflation and currency volatility, and Ghana's vibrant cultural ecosystem and hospitality appeal.
