Republic Bank Ghana has become the title sponsor of the JoyNews Habitat Fair under a new three-year partnership. The expanded initiative will connect prospective homeowners with mortgage providers, developers and other housing-sector professionals across Ghana.
Republic Bank Ghana has become the title sponsor of the JoyNews Habitat Fair after signing a three-year partnership agreement with Multimedia Group Limited. The agreement covers Habitat Fair events across Multimedia Group brands and locations nationwide.
The partnership builds on Republic Bank’s previous three-year sponsorship of the Habitat Fair organised by Luv FM in Kumasi. The expanded arrangement will extend the initiative beyond Kumasi and Accra, with Ho also joining the 2026 programme.
Republic Bank Managing Director Dr Benjamin Dzoboku said affordability—not simply housing supply—remains one of Ghana’s biggest barriers to homeownership. He pointed to household incomes, borrowing costs and land litigation as challenges facing prospective homeowners.
The bank currently offers financing for home purchases, construction, completion and improvements, as well as home-equity and pension-backed mortgage products. The Habitat Fair is intended to give prospective homeowners direct access to these financing options alongside developers, construction companies and other housing professionals.
The first Habitat Fair Clinic under the new partnership is scheduled for August 21–23 at Achimota Mall, providing an opportunity for prospective homeowners to discuss financing and other aspects of the homeownership process with industry experts.
The national expansion could strengthen the fair’s role as a platform connecting Ghanaians with the financial and property-sector resources needed to move from renting to homeownership.
