NREIT profit jumps 328% to N6.05 billion in H1 2026, declares N1.72 per unit distribution

Nigeria Real Estate Investment Trust grew pre-tax profit by 328.17% year on year to N6.05 billion in the first half of 2026 and declared a N1.72 per unit distribution.
Nigeria Real Estate Investment Trust (NREIT) has reported a pre-tax profit of N6.05 billion for the first half of 2026, a 328.17% year-on-year increase from the N1.41 billion recorded in H1 2025, according to its financial report released on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) on September 4, 2026.
Post-tax profit also rose by 328.17% to N6.05 billion. The growth was driven by a sharp increase in total income to N7.97 billion from N1.74 billion in the corresponding period of 2025, while operating expenses rose to N1.92 billion from N329.81 million, representing about 24.1% of total income.
NREIT declared a distribution of N1.72 per unit to unitholders whose names appeared on the Register of Unitholders as of the close of business on July 29, 2026. The distribution is scheduled for payment on September 8, 2026, subject to the deduction of applicable withholding tax.
The trust recorded a foreign exchange loss of N140.20 million in the period, compared with a N22.25 million loss in H1 2025, leaving total comprehensive income at N5.91 billion versus N1.39 billion a year earlier. Investment property stood unchanged at N187.43 billion between December 2025 and June 2026.
Net asset value per unit slipped slightly to N114.58 from N115.16 at the end of December 2025. NREIT closed at N113.00 per share on Friday, September 4, 2026, compared with its opening price for the year of N103.00, a year-to-date return of 9.71%. The trust, listed on December 31, 2025, is the 48th most valuable stock on the NGX with a market capitalisation of about N187 billion.
