The updated cadastral map provides state agencies with accurate spatial data to manage development controls, streamline title administration, and integrate critical infrastructure—such as roads, drainage systems, and public utilities—along one of West Africa's most valuable real estate stretches.
Driven by mega-projects including the Lekki Free Zone, the Dangote Refinery, the Lekki Deep Seaport, and expansive residential layouts, the area has experienced rapid growth that heightened the need for precise land records.
State officials emphasize that the redrawn map will significantly boost investor confidence by minimizing boundary disputes, accelerating property verification, and simplifying project approvals for developers, financial institutions, and homeowners.
