FMBN Finances 1,590 Homes in Nasarawa, Unlocks ₦9.5bn for Renovations

Written on

More than 1,590 homes have been financed in Nasarawa as Nigeria’s housing finance push expands. FMBN has also channelled over ₦9.5 billion into renovation loans for more than 10,600 civil servants, combining new housing delivery with upgrades to existing homes.

The Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN) has financed more than 1,590 housing units across Nasarawa State, strengthening efforts to expand affordable homeownership. The bank has supported more than 11 housing projects while providing mortgage financing through the state’s Owner-Occupier Housing Scheme.

Beyond new construction, FMBN has disbursed more than ₦9.5 billion in Home Renovation Loans to over 10,600 civil servants, helping households improve existing properties without relying on expensive commercial credit.

The intervention demonstrates how housing finance can simultaneously increase formal housing supply and improve existing homes. FMBN and Nasarawa State are now seeking deeper collaboration to expand construction finance and mortgage access across the state.
