Firm woos buyers with 10% property discount

Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd has launched its Real Estate Ownership Made Easy initiative in Enugu, offering discounts of up to 10 per cent on plots until September 30.
For Nigerians who have long dreamed of owning land but have been held back by the rising cost of property, Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd has introduced a fresh opportunity with discounts of up to 10 per cent and flexible payment plans.
The company unveiled its Real Estate Ownership Made Easy (ROME) initiative on Friday at the International Conference Centre, Enugu, before more than 1,200 investors, realtors and other stakeholders in the real estate sector. The initiative runs until September 30, 2026, and allows prospective buyers to acquire plots at the company's Glory Layout in Enugu, currently valued at N1.5 million.
Under the offer, customers who make full payment will receive a 10 per cent discount, while those who choose the instalment option will enjoy a five per cent discount. Speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd, Architect Chibuikem Onyekachi Emmanuel, said the initiative was designed to make property ownership less burdensome and create opportunities for more Nigerians.
"The aim is simple: to produce numerous land and property owners. We want people to own properties without stress and get the value of their investment," Emmanuel said. He clarified that the promotional discounts were separate from the regular incentives payable to agents, realtors and staff who facilitate property sales.
The company's Brand Ambassador and Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwo, popularly known as Mama G, described the initiative as timely, urging prospective investors to take advantage of the limited-time offer. Company Manager Steve Ibaro said buyers who opt for instalment payments would have up to one year to complete their obligations.
