Kenya’s Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has moved to recover 7.6 acres of Kenya Prisons Service land in Kisumu, estimated to be worth about KSh4.5 billion. The commission alleges that the public property was fraudulently acquired through a scheme involving the late Kenyan author Grace Ogot.
The case places renewed attention on the protection of public land and the integrity of property transactions involving government assets.
