KADGIS has warned the public against buying plots in six police barracks in Kaduna State, saying it never approved a land layout there or authorised Aftech Industries Limited to sell or allocate land.
The Kaduna Geographic Information Service (KADGIS) has warned members of the public against buying plots inside six police barracks in the state, saying it neither authorised nor approved any land layout or sales in the affected locations.
In a public notice signed by Director-General Bashir Garba Ibrahim, dated 21 October 2026 and referenced KADGIS/OFF/585/VOL. I, the agency said it had not entered into any partnership with Aftech Industries Limited or granted the company permission to create, design, subdivide or develop land layouts within the barracks.
The affected locations are Gabasawa Barracks, Blocks A and B; the Mounted Troops Barracks; the SPO's Quarters along College Road; the Mounted Troops Barracks in Kabala; and the MTD Barracks in Sabon-Gari.
"For the avoidance of doubt, KADGIS has not entered into any partnership or granted any approval to Aftech Industries Limited to undertake land layout creation or land sales within the affected Police Barracks," the notice stated, adding that any purported partnership, allocation or sale should not be read as having the agency's approval or endorsement.
The agency advised buyers not to purchase or make payments for plots in the barracks without first confirming the legal status of the property and the validity of its title, warning that letters, agreements, receipts or other documents presented in such transactions do not on their own constitute proof of a valid Kaduna State land title or KADGIS approval.
It said anyone who buys land without proper verification does so at their own risk and that the agency would not be liable for losses, disputes or claims arising from such transactions, urging the public to verify all land titles with KADGIS before entering into any land deal.
