A Circuit Court in Accra has adjourned to October 26, 2026 the criminal case against Musah Attah and five other accused persons over the alleged unlawful demolition of building foundations at East Legon Hills.
The Circuit Court in Accra has adjourned proceedings in the criminal case involving Musah Attah, also known as Kromo, and other accused persons over the alleged unlawful demolition of building foundations at East Legon Hills to October 26, 2026.
The case, which was scheduled for the commencement of trial on October 7, 2026, could not proceed after defence counsel informed the court that an application had been filed seeking a stay of proceedings pending the determination of a related case involving the first accused person at the Tema court. The first accused was absent when the matter was called, while defence counsel was present. The matter was adjourned to October 26 for the hearing of the application for a stay of proceedings.
The case involves six accused persons charged with conspiracy to commit crime and causing unlawful damage in connection with the alleged demolition of building foundations at East Legon Hills in the Greater Accra Region. They are Musah Attah, also known as Kromo, who has also been arrested in a recent cocaine case and is alleged to be a national security operative attached to Jubilee House; Edmond Jalil Ahorlu, also known as “2020”; Saed Yussif, also known as Yaa Naa; Ibrahim Issaka, also known as Aruya; Saed Ali, also known as Mboma; and Madebo Ahmed.
The prosecution alleges that the accused persons acted together with a common purpose on or before August 28, 2025 to cause unlawful damage to property belonging to businessman Gamel Issaka. According to the prosecution, the complainant owns an estate known as Fagati City at East Legon Hills, where he had engaged workers to construct three-storey buildings before travelling abroad in August 2025.
The prosecution alleges that on August 28, 2025, while construction workers were at the site, the accused persons and their accomplices deployed a backhoe machine to level the foundations of the buildings. The matter will return to the Circuit Court in Accra on October 26, 2026.
