Oria Developments has launched Kenan, a EGP 2.5bn residential scheme on nine feddans in New Zayed opposite Sphinx International Airport, with construction due to start in the first quarter of 2027.

Oria Developments has launched Kenan, a residential project in New Zayed with an investment of EGP 2.5bn, the company said, adding the scheme sits on nine feddans opposite Sphinx International Airport.

Waleid Lawandy, founder and chairperson of Oria Developments, said the developer plans to expand gradually across West Cairo, prioritising construction progress and adherence to delivery schedules before moving into new development phases. The company is also exploring opportunities in other areas, including the North Coast, and plans to announce additional projects in the coming period.

According to the company, buildings at Kenan will occupy no more than 15% of the total land area and will comprise ground and first floors only. The project includes standalone and twin houses as well as commercial and service components, with chief commercial officer Mahmoud Dawoud saying the scheme offers a range of unit types and sizes to meet differing customer requirements.

Construction is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2027, with delivery planned within three years. Lawandy Contracting, a sister company of Oria Developments, will undertake construction, while ACE-Moharram.Bakhoum will provide consultancy services related to execution quality. Mohamed Hafez is responsible for the engineering design and Trojan, an Egyptian-Emirati company, will oversee operations and management.

Oria has also started construction on its Alamat project in 6th of October City and is preparing to launch a new phase of hotel units. Alamat Tower is located on Plots 20 and 21 in the city's Ninth District, along the Central Axis and overlooking the monorail route.
