Luv FM-Republic Bank Habitat Fair returns to Kumasi with home financing in focus

Written on

The 2026 Republic Bank Luv FM Habitat Fair will run from November 25 to 29 at Kumasi City Mall, with organisers and lenders pitching staged construction financing to would-be homeowners.

The 2026 edition of the Republic Bank Luv FM Habitat Fair has been launched in Kumasi with the aim of making homeownership accessible to the average Ghanaian, bringing developers, lenders, building material suppliers and land agencies together in one venue.

The five-day fair will run from November 25 to 29, 2026, at Kumasi City Mall, preceded by a mini-clinic on Friday, October 30, at the Poku Trading Arcade in Adum. Now in its eighth year, the event is designed to let prospective homeowners access housing-related services, building materials, financing and interior decoration solutions under one roof, at competitive prices.

Maxwell Frimpong Manso, relationship manager at Luv FM and Nhyira FM, said the fair has become an established initiative in Kumasi offering practical solutions to the challenges of building and owning a home. He identified the Lands Commission, the Electricity Company of Ghana and the Asantehene's Land Secretariat among the key participants whose involvement helps buyers obtain guidance on land and services. "Habitat Fair has come to stay here in Kumasi as an important initiative in addressing the housing deficit and the growing demand for housing in the Ashanti region," he said.

Dan Adjetey Mohenu, head of mortgage banking at Republic Bank, said the bank's partnership with Luv FM reflects its commitment to supporting people at different stages of home building. He said the bank's financing solutions are not limited to buyers of completed houses but extend to people developing their own properties, including funding for foundation works and for interior decoration, subject to the bank's assessment criteria and the applicant demonstrating the financing need.

Organisers framed the fair against Ghana's compounding housing deficit and rapid population growth, saying the event gives prospective homeowners a single platform to engage directly with professionals and institutions involved in land acquisition, construction, financing and home improvement.
