L'AVANT Property, a venture between Hong Kong's P&T Group and a Nigerian construction firm, is developing The Altura, an apartment project of about 150 units in Ikeja GRA, as foreign-backed developers deepen their presence in Lagos.
A Hong Kong-backed construction and property development group is expanding into Nigeria's luxury housing market through L'AVANT Property, a Lagos-based developer planning a residential project of about 150 apartments in Ikeja GRA.
The scheme, known as The Altura, sits on Oba Ladejobi Street, adjacent to the Lagos Marriott Hotel. It is being developed through a partnership between P&T Property Development Company, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-based P&T Group, and L'AVANT Technology & Construction, a Nigerian company with more than a decade of experience in major road and bridge infrastructure.
The Altura is designed to offer two- to four-bedroom apartments and penthouse duplexes, with amenities including adult and children's swimming pools, a playground, gym, coffee bar, boutique store and conference room. The penthouses are expected to include private rooftop gardens. The developer says P&T Group brings residential and industrial development experience and a logistics network, while its Nigerian partner contributes local construction expertise and market knowledge.
The entry adds to a growing list of foreign-backed players in Lagos property. In 2022, China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation unveiled a 21-storey luxury residential tower in Ikoyi, extending its work beyond infrastructure construction into development, and an Estate Intel report noted rising participation by domestic and international contractors in Lagos over the past decade.
The Lagos State Real Estate Regulatory Authority has reported recovering more than N270 million from fraudulent estate agents between 2025 and 2026, a reminder that buyers in the segment are being urged to verify land titles, development approvals and delivery commitments before committing funds.
