A luxury waterfront hotel in one of South Africa’s top tourist destinations is up for sale. The R60 million listing gives investors a rare chance to acquire a fully operating hospitality asset on the Garden Route.
The St. James of Knysna, a five-star boutique hotel overlooking the Knysna Lagoon, has been placed on the market for R60 million.
The fully furnished property sits on a 10,594m² waterfront site and includes 18 luxury rooms and suites across a historic manor house and courtyard annex.
The sale offers investors an opportunity to acquire an established hospitality business with a strong tourism location, event facilities and premium leisure amenities.
As South Africa’s tourism sector continues to attract investment, the property highlights growing interest in lifestyle-driven hospitality assets. The next owner could continue its current operation or reposition it as an exclusive private retreat.
