$3.1B Mega Project Brings 6,000 New Homes to New Cairo

One of Egypt's biggest mixed-use developments just secured a major new partner. The $3.1 billion project will reshape a fast-growing district with thousands of homes, hotels and commercial spaces.
UAE-based developer Majid Al Futtaim has partnered with MIDAR for Investment and Urban Development to deliver a $3.1 billion mixed-use community in Mada City, New Cairo.
Spanning more than 550 feddans, the project will include approximately 6,000 homes alongside hotels, retail, entertainment venues and a business district.
The deal marks Majid Al Futtaim's first residential development in Egypt, expanding its footprint beyond shopping malls and leisure assets.
As New Cairo continues to attract investment, the project is expected to strengthen the city's position as one of the region's leading urban growth hubs, with construction set to roll out in multiple phases.
